A Northwestern student was transported to Evanston Hospital on Aug. 27 from a party near campus after sustaining head and neck injuries consistent with a fall, police said.

Officers were dispatched to a loud party in the 2100 block of Maple Avenue on Aug. 26 at 11:55 p.m., said Evanston police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan. On their way to the party, police received a call about an 18-year-old man who had fallen down the back stairwell of the residence.

Dugan said the student’s injuries were not considered life threatening as of Aug. 27 at about 9 a.m. There was one witness to the incident, he said.
