Bobby Pillote, Assistant Sports Editor

Northwestern freshman running back Justin Jackson has sustained a non-serious lower body injury during spring practices, according to reports confirmed by the athletic department. His return to spring practices is doubtful, but Jackson is expected to make a full recovery before the season.

Jackson, who is slated to start in 2015, rushed for 1187 yards and 10 touchdowns last season and was an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention.

The remaining running backs on the depth chart are sophomore Warren Long, freshman Solomon Vault and freshman Auston Anderson.
