Police arrested two individuals Sunday in connection with a residential burglary in north Evanston.

Officers responded to a report from the 2600 block of Lincolnwood Drive at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday and were given a description of the two suspected burglars. The first individual, 16, was apprehended in the 2700 block of Grant Street shortly after police left the scene of the burglary. Police arrested Tewayne Kennedy, 18, a short while later in Skokie. Kennedy is believed to be a Chicago resident.

Both were charged with residential burglary and witnesses positively identified the individuals, police said.

Police said the coordinated effort between the homeowners, witnesses and police dispatchers and officers allowed for the offenders to be quickly apprehended.
