Evanston Environmental Association to screen award-winning environmental films

The Evanston Environmental Association will screen a selection of films from the Wild and Scenic Film Festival, the nation’s largest environmental film festival, on Feb. 8 and Feb. 22, according to a city news release.

The association hopes to inspire Evanston with these “beautiful, edge-of-your-seat stories” about environmental issues such as industrial fishing and access to clean water, board secretary Karen Taira said in the release.

The association will screen several films each night, each film ranging from two to 25 minutes long, at the Evanston Ecology Center, 2024 North McCormick Blvd. They will also showcase prize drawings, according to the news release.
